About
Robert Cassannello earned his Ph.D. from Florida State University in 2000 and now is an associate professor of history at the University of Central Florida. His research interests include Jim Crow America, The Civil Rights Movement, Social History, along with Labor and Working-Class History. Dr. Cassannello has shown commitment to his studies from his publications in books — notably To Render Invisible: Jim Crow and Public Life in New South Jacksonville — from his peer reviewed journal articles, and from media projects ranging from award nominated films to well-produced audio podcasts. Subsequently he has won and been nominated for multiple awards by these accomplishments.
Cassanello is running for President of the United Faculty of Florida.
